Mean Well RSD-500 Series 500W Fanless Enclosed Type DC/DC Converter

Meanwell has launched the RSD-500 series (500W), an addition to their enclosed type DC/DC converter series (RSD-30/60/100/150/200/300). The 500 series enables integration into higher power applications. “Since the RSD-500 series is designed to meet both railway and ITE safety standards, it is suitable for DC/DC applications such as industrial & railway control, security control, and telecommunication systems,” Mean Well posted.

The low 1U low-profile and input/output terminal blocks provides quick and easy wiring of the 500 series during installation. It also has other features including a fanless design, 5G anti-vibration, 2:1 wide input range, semi-potted with silicone gel, 4000Vdc I/O isolation and a -40 to 80 degree Centigrade wide operating temperature.

In addition, the RSD-500 series is certified to the ITE IEC62368-1/UL62368-1/RCM AS/NZS62368.1, EN55032, EAC TP TC004, as well as EN50155 railway safety standards, ensuring the RSD-500 can perform reliably as additional system insulation, DC UPS, battery voltage regulator, etc. in all fields of ITE and railway applications.
